Fifth-grade Challenge students entered a competition called Letter About Literature through the Cleveland Public Library. The students were asked to write a letter to an author of their choice and explain how the book impacted their life in some way. Ava Sutter wrote her letter to Shel Silverstein regarding his book, “The Giving Tree.” Ava received an honorable mention for her work and was invited to the Cleveland Public Library on May 11 for a special awards ceremony and luncheon.
