Auburn Large Item Drop-Off Day
June 1, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Large items for Auburn Township Trash Disposal Day may be taken to the Adam Hall Community Center, 11455 Washington St. No hazardous waste, building products, household garbage or yard waste will be accepted.
Nominal fee of $7 per car and small truck loads and $10 per large truck load will be charged. Maximum of eight truck tires, on and off rims, per household will be accepted for free.
Senior residents who are registered with Geauga County Department on Aging qualify for free item pickup service. Call 440-279-2130 to register.

Free Fresh Produce

Newbury United Community Church will be hosting a fresh produce giveaway at the church located at 14961 Auburn Road.
Cleveland FoodBank provides the service to low income Geauga County residents. Please bring ID and bags.
Distributions are the first Saturday of each month through Nov. 2.

Maple Producers of NE Ohio

Maple Producers of NE Ohio are holding an informal informational meeting at Ray Gingerich, Deer Run Maple, 1537 Easton Road, Orwell. Ray was the first reverse osmosis manufacturer to come up with an affordable RO machine that could be used with or without electricity and has been building RO machines for over 15 years. VFW Schnitzel Sandwiches

Chardon VFW Post 6519 will serve schnitzel sandwiches for dinner every Wednesday in June to complement its weekly drawings. Cost is $6 per serving.
Splash Party
June 7, 1-4:45 p.m.
The Chardon Community Action Team (CCAT) will be hosting a splash party for local residents. With the participation of the City of Chardon, the splash party will be held at the Chardon Municipal Pool, 316 Maple Ave. Enjoy swimming, sunshine, food for purchase and music offered by a DJ. Entry is free.

Shop Hop & Dine
June 7, 5 p.m.
The newly created merchant association Burton Village NOW is hosting its first event in historic Burton Village. Shop Hop & Dine will offer visitors an opportunity to shop local as well as drink and dine in some of the finest restaurants and eateries Geauga County has to offer.
Live music will be performed in the gazebo, a raffle will take place to win a basket of items, gift certificates and discounts from all participating local businesses. The Red Maple Inn will also be offering a chance to win an overnight stay.

Flea Market Sale

Chardon VFW Aux Rib Dinner / Drawing

Legion Scholarship Awards
