Curtain 440 will present William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen, at Newbury High School Auditorium, 14775 Auburn Road in Newbury Township. Written like a Renaissance soap opera, the playis full of love plots gone wrong, fairies and royals and a man turned into an ass.

The group of performers is composed of students and graduates from several area schools.

Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $8 and $10 and will be available at the door or online at www.curtain440.com. Seating is general admission.

GANG Welcomes Geauga Poet

June 18, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) welcomes Patrick Culliton to its monthly meeting held at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon. He will be discussing his literary journey and presenting excerpts from his published works, including his recent book, ”Sam’s Teeth.”

The educational program is free and open to the public. Audience participation is welcome.
