Conducted by master teacher and instructor Susan Gundersen, a suggested donation of $10 is requested, with proceeds going towards the church’s Guatemala mission. Bring a yoga mat, light blanket and wear comfortable clothing.

Children’s Charity Rummage Sale

Christ Covenant Church, 16406 Kinsman Road in Middlefield, is holding its rummage sale to benefit Charity Children’s Ministries.

Sale dates are Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

GCP Networking Event

June 13, 5-7 p.m.

Guatemala Dinner/Dance Fundraiser

June 14, 6 p.m.

Mayfield United Method Church and The United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls will hold a dinner and dance to raise project funds for their Guatemala mission trip. The fundraiser will be held at Orchard Hills Center on Caves Road in Chester Township.

Free Community Breakfast

June 15, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Ledgewood Christian Church is hosting its free community breakfast at the church located at 8261 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, salmon patties, juice, coffee and tea. Ample parking is available in the rear of the church building. All are welcome.

Food Distribution

June 15, 9-11 a.m.

The Cleveland Food Bank will be distributing food to people in need at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon.

Reiki Clinic in Chester

June 15, 2-5 p.m.

DeJohn Funeral Homes & Celebrations Center will host a Reiki clinic at 12811 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township.

Appointments will be held every 30 minutes with a special Reiki therapist. Pre-registration is recommended to reserve a specific time. Sessions are $20 per person for a 30-minute appointment and $40 for a 50 minute appointment. Register online only at DeJohnCares.com/Reiki.

Walk-ins are welcome for $25 per person for a 30-minute session. Prepay online or cash only at the door.

Chardon VFW Aux. Rib Dinner

June 15, 5:30-7 p.m.

Chardon VFW Auxiliary Post 6519 is hosting a rib dinner and drawing. Enjoy a half rack of “Malone Zone” ribs with sides. Donation is $25. Only 100 tickets will be sold for the $1,000 drawing.
Tickets are available in the canteen. The public is welcome.

Farm Bureau Ice Cream Social

First Fly-In Of Summer

June 22, 7-11 a.m.

The Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 5 will host its first fly-in of summer at the Geauga County Airport, 15421 Old State Road in Middlefield. Fly in or drive in to the pancake breakfast fundraiser and Young Eagles rally.

Free airplane rides will be offered for youth ages 8-17, as well as aviation related games and crafts.

Event also features vintage and show cars and airplanes available for the public to see up close. Admission is free. Bring lawn chairs.

Gates Mills Garden Tour

June 21 & 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Gates Mills Garden Club is sponsoring its biennial garden tour of private, exclusive gardens within the village. Attendees can also browse through vendor displays featuring a wide variety of unique gardening-related items for sale.

Rescue Village Benefit

Rescue Village will host the second annual Great Catsby & Barkeasy Galato benefit animals in need at White North Stables in Chagrin Falls.

The event will again encourage 1920’s theme costumes, have live music by Moustache Yourself,photos inauthenticjazz-age cars and more. There will also be a silent auction, wine pull, chance raffles and food and drinks.

Chardon VFW Post 6519 is hosting a free community event for all veterans, their families and friends at the post located at 752 Water St., Chardon. Event includes Our Zoo to You exotic animals, I Scream Ice Cream and Rick Everhart Magic & Balloons.

Meet some local first responders from Chardon police and fire departments and the Geauga County Sheriff’s Department. There will be games, prizes, snacks and contests.

Master Gardeners Offer Free Class

K.I.D. Cancer Chinese Auction

June 29, 3 p.m.

Members of the K.I.D. Cancer Foundation are holding a special event auction at the Parkman Community House located on state Route 422 in Parkman. Doors open at 3 p.m., with the drawings starting at 5 p.m.

There will be more than 200 items up for bid, including household items, tools, baskets, television, air compressor, air tools, a 50/50 raffle and a door prize of up to $500 in cash.

Money raised will go to help send Kyra Daniels to New York City for the start of her new career in the acting and modeling field.

Monies not used for her trip will be donated to the K. I. D. Cancer Foundation to help another special child go to Disney World in Florida.

Yoder Brothers Reverse Raffle

The Yoder Brothers, Joshua and Tyler, Scholarship Foundation is hosting its second annual Reverse Raffle with a $5,000 grand prize to at the EOUV, 8636 Pekin Road, Russell Township.

The event features a silent auction, fish bowl raffle, DJ, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert as well as an open bar. Tickets are $75 and include a raffle number.

Proceeds help the foundation award renewable scholarships to students at Cardinal, Berkshire and Newbury high schools.
