West Geauga High School sophomore Rylie Hanford and junior Patrick Garrett have been named Hillcrest Insurance Student Athletes of the Month.

West Geauga High School sophomore Rylie Hanford and junior Patrick Garrett have been named Hillcrest Insurance Student Athletes of the Month.
A member of the girls tennis team, Rylie was the Chagrin Valley Conference singles champion and CVC League MVP this year. She also placed third in the state tennis tournament for the second consecutive year. Rylie is on the honor roll and plans to play Division I tennis majoring in business and engineering in college. Her parents are Kim and Ken Hanford.
Patrick is a junior on the boys cross country. He helped lead his team to a runner-up finish in the CVC championships and a qualifying birth in the regional meet. Patrick was the runner-up in the CVC individually as well as an individual state qualifier. Patrick also plays basketball and runs track. He is undecided in his college plans. He is the son of Denise and Jim Garrett.
Peter Pan Jr.
Over 115 students at Lindsey Elementary School starred in “Peter Pan Jr.” last weekend. It was the 20th anniversary of the Lindsey production. Former members of the Lindsey show were invited back to see the wonderful performance. Music teacher Deanna Harrison directed the show.
Motivational Speaker Inspires
Motivational speaker Reggie Dabbs gave a presentation at West Geauga high and middle schools on Nov. 15. The entire student body of both buildings was able to hear his personal accounts regarding decision making and setting goals. He uses these skills to assist students grow as individuals.
