“Wonder” Windows Complete
Notre Dame’s first K-8 STEM Integration Learning Experience is complete. The sixth-grade students read the book, “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio. The students were then challenged with the question: How can we make the world a better place? Their final project was Wonder Windows, a student built 24-by- 36-inch LED lighted stained glass wall hanging that has been put up for everyone at school to see. It serves as a reminder of the words people need to live by.
Habitat Builders
Second-graders recently completed a habitat project that integrated research, science and creativity into one amazing product. Students worked in teams to choose an animal to research. From there they explored the outdoors to gather materials to build their habitat and worked together to build the finished product. The habitats are truly wild and wonderful.
