Gifts of Christmas Warmth
Thanks to the efforts of dozens of students over the past few weeks, Christmas morning and the whole winter will be a lot warmer for the families of Cleveland’s Saint Francis School.
Students worked during their enhanced learning blocks (ELBs), Lion Time and after school to create 70 colorful and comfy fleece blankets that they’ll deliver to Saint Francis next week along with about 200 gifts from the school’s Advent Giving Tree.
Senior Mikayla Bosworth organized the effort with help from sophomore Allie Beth Currier. According to campus minister Halle McKeon, the Bosworth family donated much of the fleece for the project. Proceeds from the school’s Peer Ministry fundraisers also helped.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Day
Friday the 13th turned into an unlucky fashion day as NDCL’s Student Activities Board sponsored an ugly Christmas sweater dress-down to celebrate Christmas as well as the last class day of the first semester.
