VFW Wednesday Dinners

Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m.

Chardon VFW Post 6519 will serve Italian sausage sandwiches every Wednesday in February at the post located at 752 Water St. Donation is $6.50. French fries are an additional $2. The public is welcome.

Domestic Violence Meeting

Feb. 10, 10 a.m.

The public is invited to a meeting on domestic violence at the Middlefield Public Library, 16167 East High St. For more information, call Robbi at 304-588-6583.

Woodland Wednesdays Workshop

Feb. 12, 6-7:30 p.m.

A woodland tax workshop will be held at the Patterson Center located on the Geauga County Fairgrounds, 14269 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton. Learn about the Ohio Forestry Tax Law (OFTL) and the Current Agriculture Use Value (CAUV) programs available to landowners with qualifying property.

The workshops are being offered through a partnership between Northeast Counties Farm Bureau, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, ODNR Division of Forestry. and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service

Bloodmobile

Feb. 13, 1-7 p.m.

American Red Cross will host a blood drive at Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge Township. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Audubon Seeks Late-Day Birds

Feb. 15, noon

Blackbrook Audubon will visit Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area to see late-day winter birds. Meet at the McDonald’s at 1650 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, at noon. Or carpool from Lakeland Community College, at 9:30 a.m. Attendees should bring binoculars, spotting scopes if they have them and money for dinner.

Pasta Dinner and Raffle

Feb. 15, 4:30-7 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend a pasta dinner and raffle benefitting the Berkshire music programs at the Bond Building at Century Village in Burton. The event features a performance by Berkshire band and chorus, auction baskets, 50/50 raffle and door prizes. The auction drawing is at 7 p.m.

GOP Candidates Forum

Feb. 17, 6-8 p.m.

The Geauga County Republican Party will host a free candidates forum at Chardon Middle School – LGIR Room, 424 North St. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The public is welcome to come meet and hear from Republican candidates on the March 17 primary election ballot.

Dems Host Candidates’ Night

Feb. 20, 6 p.m.

The Geauga County Democratic Party will host a candidates’ night at the party headquarters located at 12420 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township.

Enjoy a ham dinner and hear the local Democratic candidates discuss the March 17 primary election. Cost Is $13 for members $25 for non-members.

GOP Lincoln Day Dinner

Feb. 22

The Geauga County Republican Party will celebrate its annual Lincoln Day dinner at The Tanglewood Club, 8745 Tanglewood Trail, Bainbridge Township. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Keynote speaker will be Bob Paduchik with Trump Victory 2020. There will be special remarks by Congressman Dave Joyce and Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judi French, and a visit from Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. VIP and general admission tickets are available.

Munson Indoor Flea Market

March 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Munson Township’s indoor flea market will be held at the Munson Town Hall and Fire Station Bay, 12210 Auburn Road. The $1 entrance fee will go toward the Munson Township Scholarship Fund.
