The Chagrin Valley Herb Society will meet at the Bainbridge Public Library. Member Amber Slane, a professional florist and multi-year best-of-show winner for floral arranging at the Geauga County Fair, will present a floral design lecture demonstration featuring spring flowers.

Chicken Paprikash Dinner
Feb. 21, 5:30-7 p.m.
Parkman Congregational Church is hosting its monthly fundraising dinner for the Geauga Faith Rescue Mission at the church located at 18265 Madison Road, Parkman Township.
Donation is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $6 for children. Carryout is available.

Food Distribution
Feb. 22, 9-11 a.m.
The Cleveland Food Bank will be distributing food to people in need at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon.
Bluegrass at Hambden Grange
Feb. 22, 7 p.m.
Hambden Grange will host Mark Posey’s Doghouse Entertainment Bluegrass Jamboree, featuring Family Pride and Kyle Jarvis and 3rd Generation Bluegrass.
Doors open at 6 p.m.; show starts at 7 p.m. Food stand is available.
Tickets are $12 for adults and children under 13 are free.
The Grange is located at 9778 Old State Road, Chardon.
Protect Geauga Parks
Feb. 23, 3 p.m.
Join Protect Geauga Parks for a Conservation Conversation with Dan Best at West Geauga Library, 13455 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. West, a retired Geauga Park District naturalist and raconteur, will present “Parked: A Rearview Mirror Retrospective.”
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. doors open, followed by the free program and light refreshments.

TNR Fees Waived
Feb. 25
In celebration of World Spay Day, Rescue Village will spay and neuter stray or feral community cats for free.
The goal is to spay or neuter 50 cats in a single day. Those interested in participating in the program must fill out an application on the website: http://bit.ly/2Szryh2
The TNR (Trap, Spay/Neuter, Return) program is for stray and feral cats only. If the cat is social, bring it in a secure carrier. If the cat is feral or unsocial, Rescue Village offers a trap rental.

Candidate Night at Tea Party

Candidate night at the Geauga County Tea Party will be held at the Geauga Parks West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
Join to hear the candidates in the Republican March 17 primary election present their positions and field questions from the audience.
Dorothy’s Porch Giveaway

A free giveaway of clothing for the family, household items, bedding, books and toys will take place on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 9-10 a.m.at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road, Chardon.
GCBDD Hosts Community Carnival
March 7, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD) is hosting its fifth annual community carnival at the Metzenbaum Center, 8200 Cedar Road in Chester Township.
The free event is open to all. Enjoy free food, games, bounce house, face painting and a chance to win prizes.

Munson Indoor Flea Market

Munson Township’s indoor flea market will be held at the Munson Town Hall and Fire Station Bay, 12210 Auburn Road. The $1 entrance fee will go toward the Munson Township Scholarship Fund.

Spring Tree Sale
April 24-25
Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is holding its spring tree sale at the Geauga County Fairgrounds in Burton. The sale offers a streamlined selection of both bareroot seedlings and 1-3 gallon container trees and shrubs. Rain barrels and compost tumblers are also available.

Seeking Former Idol Winners
Garrettsville Summerfest Committee is seeking out former Garrettsville Idol winners for an evening show on opening night, June 12. The show will feature former Idol winners performing on stage once again.
The committee is primarily looking for winners from the teen and adult category, however welcomes to hear from youth winners who are now older teens or adults.
