St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North St., Chardon, will host its annual all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30-7 p.m. Fridays in Lent except on Good Friday, April 10.
Pricing for dine-in guests is $13 for adults, $6 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under. Carryout pricing is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Takeout is available.

Montville Fire Dept. Fish Fry
Montville Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold fish fry dinners Fridays through April 3, from 5-7:30 p.m. The all-you-can-eat dinners will be held at Montville Community Center. Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
Proceeds benefit the Montville Fire Department “Harrisburg Fund,” for the purchase of new fire hose and other fire fighting equipment.
Maple Driving Tour
The 2020 Northeast Ohio “How Sweet It Is” Maple Driving Tour hosted by Maple Producers of NE Ohio will be March 7-8 and March 14-15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eighteen maple syrup producers across northeast Ohio will open their sugarhouses for you to visit and learn about their operations. Enjoy the different ways the producers make their syrup.
Visitors are encouraged to pick one or all of the stops over the two weekends.

GCBDD Hosts Community Carnival
March 7, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD) is hosting its fifth annual community carnival at the Metzenbaum Center, 8200 Cedar Road in Chester Township.
The free event is open to all. Enjoy free food, games, bounce house, face painting and a chance to win prizes.

Girl Scout Spaghetti Dinner
March 7, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
The West Geauga 12th-grade Ambassador Girl Scout Troop 70924 is hosting a spaghetti dinner at Christ Presbyterian Church, 12419 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. There will also be a bake sale and Girl Scout cookie booth sale.
Presale tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-11. Tickets at the door are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Cost for any Scout in a vest or shirt is $3.

Chardon VFW Dinner and Raffle

Chardon VFW Post 6519’s annual corned beef dinner and $1,000 reverse raffle at the post located at 752 Water St. in Chardon. Dinner will be served from 5:30-7 p.m. followed by the drawing at 7:15 p.m. The final four may split. Donation is $25.
LGRC ST. Patrick’s Dinner Dance

The Lake-Geauga Recovery Center’s Alumni Association is hosting a sober St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance at Painesville Township Park Community Center, 1025 Hardy Road. The event will feature Irish themed food and dessert, 50/50 raffle and dancing to classic rock music by Andy’s Last Band.

Woodland Wednesdays Workshop

Forestry 101 for Landowners woodland workshop will be held in the garden meeting room at the Portage Soil and Water Conservation District Office, 6970 State Route 88, Ravenna.
Learn the foundations of forest management from state service foresters in this interactive program.
The workshops are being offered through a partnership between Northeast Counties Farm Bureau, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, ODNR Division of Forestry and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service

Czech Easter Bread
DTJ Taborville is selling the traditional Czech Easter bread by order only. Mazanec, or houska, is a sweet dough with golden raisins and almonds baked into a round loaf with a cross cut into the top.
