The Geauga Art Network Group’s (GANG) will be celebrating all things Celtic at their 20th annual Celtic Music Sing-Along in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

March 17, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Geauga Art Network Group’s (GANG) will be celebrating all things Celtic at their 20th annual Celtic Music Sing-Along in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon.

Music lovers of all ages are invited to join in the jam session as Geauga minstrel Nicky Bucur is joined by surprise guests who will be performing a lively selection of Irish and other Celtic tunes. The community is invited to bring along any nostalgic items reflecting on their Celtic heritage such as sheet music, poems, keepsakes and personal reminiscences.

Both professional and amateur musicians are invited to bring along their own instruments and join in the fun.

Words and Wine

March 18, 6:30 p.m.

Words and Wine, a poetry reading series, will feature readings by Sayuri Ayers, of Columbus, author of “Mother/Wound,” and Jason Kaufman, of Mansfield, author of “A Gift Greater than I Am,” at the Steele Mansion, 348 Mentor Ave. in Painesville. Both chapbooks focus on first-time parenthood and postpartum depression.

Open mic will precede their readings. The free event is open to the public.
