Students Sign Structural Beam
Berkshire students at all ages and grade levels had a special opportunity to further connect themselves with the construction process of the brand new preK-12 facility by taking a moment to sign one of the final structural beams before placement. Students filed through designated locations at their respective buildings during the day on Feb. 22 and, equipped with sharpie and permanent marker, added their respective signatures to commemorate another milestone aspect of the project. Major strides continued to be realized at the construction site, just east of the Kent State University Geauga campus, but District leadership and contractors thought the personal touch of connecting the steel beams with actual students could represent an appropriate and tangible connection for them with the project. The beam was actually placed later in the day on Monday, February 22nd. The Berkshire Local Schools thanks those involved with making the project run smoothly and successfully. Go Badgers!
