Gone Swans, Buffalo, Indians

Why in the world would you print a story about two birds shot and killed on a swamp. It upsets me terribly.

What color of man does that? What color of man killed thousands of buffalo? What color of man drove all the Indians off their land and is still doing it? What color of man is polluting the Earth with the tar sands oil and is still killing native people and wildlife?

Invasive or not those birds were hurting no one. What color of man does that?

To all Geauga County residents, if you see an invasive species in your neighborhood don’t call ODNR. You know what will happen. I am disgusted at your ignorance. Couldn’t you just have caught them with a net? I would have gladly taken them under my wing.

And to Mr. Jeremy Marx, why don’t you drain that swamp and everybody would be happy. I guess you won’t be seeing anymore swans there. So, so sad. Guns solve all the animal problems.

Really, really upset in Troy.

Job Well Done!

Recently I read that Teresa Runion, our county park district’s special events coordinator, was honored by the Geauga Park District Board of Commissioners for her work for the park district.

They approved a resolution of appreciation for 31 years of work, including 17 years as special events coordinator.

As a Geauga resident who enters the community art shows and enjoys the many other shows and programs she sets up, I want to say thank you, Teresa, for serving our community all these years. You can be proud of a job well done!
