Bret L. Molnar

MUNSON TWP. – Bret L. Molnar, age 62, of Munson Township, passed away at home on June 26, 2021, surrounded by his beloved family, after enduring a two and half year battle with gastric and peritoneal cancer.

He is survived by Patty, his wife of 39 years; their children, Samantha (J-Ty Robison) and Daniel; father, Louis; sisters, Gail (Nick) Hourmouzis, Lori (Mitch) Clemente; parents in-law, Bob and Barbara Seitz; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Markell and Annika Seitz; brother-in-law, Tony (Jill Enders) Seitz; nephews, Jeff Hourmouzis, Zak (Nina) Hourmouzis; and many friends and family.

His Mother, Elaine, will be welcoming him to Heaven, having gone before him in May of 1987.

Bret was born in Cleveland, on May 3, 1959, and grew up in Euclid, before moving to Chardon in 1986.

He was an amazing Dad and husband, and hanging out with his family was his favorite way to spend time.

Bret worked for 43 years at Roll-Kraft in Willoughby, then Mentor, finally retiring shortly before his passing.

Bret loved to golf with his friends, and especially with son Dan. A bucket-list trip to Pebble Beach was planned, but never realized.

Traveling with his family was such a joy to Bret. After his first cancer diagnosis, the family was able to spend time exploring Scotland and walking the storied greens of St. Andrews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon, on July 1, 2021, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends an hour before Mass.

A celebration of Bret’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cleveland Clinic (Cancer Patient Support Services, Hospice, or Palliative Care), give.ccf.org.

In Bret’s own words, his wonderful time on Earth was “Not Bad!”
