Junior High Algebra Walk
Students in Mrs. O’Brien’s seventh- and eighth-grade math classes took part in an “algebra walk” where they created human graphs on a coordinate plane outside. Students were given directions and clues to form coordinate points on a coordinate plane. Students made observations about the graphs that were made. They then translated those graphs into linear equations and input/output tables and drew them on to paper in the classroom.
