WHY WE PARTNER
The Advisory Board of PFLAG commends the community efforts of the Geauga SOGI Support Network in its work to promote understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ+ individuals and their families and friends. Our nonprofit organizations are aligned in our mission to do all we can to help inform and sensitize our communities so together, we can end prejudice, bigotry, and violence toward those most vulnerable among us.
NONPROFIT + PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT INFORM US
We encourage all members of the Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services to learn more about national organizations working diligently to address the health needs of LGBTQ+ individuals, such as PFLAG, The Trevor Project, The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, and the related task forces of key organizations such as the
American Medical Association, The American Psychiatric Association, The American Academy of Pediatrics,
The American Psychological Association, The National Association of Social Workers, and
The American Counseling Association.
Signed on behalf of The Advisory Board of PFLAG Cleveland on February 24, 2023.
