John David Wiesenbach
John David Wiesenbach, age 80, of Burton, passed away April 29, 2023, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa.
He was born June 23, 1942, in Braddock, Pa., to Jacob and Margaret (nee Churley) Wiesenbach. He graduated from Verona High School, in 1960, and joined the U.S. Army. He served from 1960 until 1963 and was proud to be an American Army veteran.
He married the love of his life, Linda Jean Rickert, on Aug. 5, 1967.
John worked for AAA in their IT department from 1976 to 2003, when he retired.
He enjoyed taking care of his Corvette cars, going on bike rides, ice-skating and roller-skating. Listening to all genres of music and Christian sermons were also passions of his.
He was very active in helping organize his high school class reunions and was a former member of the Burton Congregational Church.
John will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda; children Corinne (Christopher) Danicki, of Northlake, Texas, Carrie Wiesenbach, of Burton, Christopher (Annie) Wiesenbach, of Burton; sister, Delores Bracco, of New Kensington, Pa.; grandchildren Krista Corinne Danicki, Shannon O’Brien Danicki, Chloe MaKay Danicki, John Charles Heller and Remington Glenn Heller.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Michelle McCracken, Christine Colella, Larry Wiesenbach, Shaun Wiesenbach and Monica Bush.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jason Michael Wiesenbach; grandson Xavier John Danicki; and brother, Lawrence Wiesenbach.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W High St., Middlefield, on May 4, 2023, from 2 p.m. until the time of his Celebration of Life at 3 p.m., with Pastor Mike Continenza officiating.
Military honors will be held by Atwood-Mauck American Legion Post 459 in Burton. He will be laid to rest in Welton cemetery at a later date.
