Project Hope

The students at St. Helen were excited to deliver their collected items to Project Hope for the Homeless. For Lent, the time before Easter, the students focused on prayer, fasting and giving to those in need. This year the students collected items for Project Hope for the Homeless. They had a goal of filling Principal Steve Martin’s truck, which they far exceeded. The students were happy to see the joy in helping others in need this Lent.

Children’s Museum Field Trip

Students are enjoying the beautiful spring weather with several field trips in the Cleveland area. The kindergarten and first-grade classes enjoyed a trip to the Children’s Museum Cleveland in early May. They had a blast exploring the exhibits. One favorite spot was the Bubbles room and water works exhibit.

Botanical Garden Field Trip

The second- and third-grade classes went to the Cleveland Botanical Garden. They were enamored by the beautiful butterflies and plants that filled the space. During their visit they were given an opportunity to take a closer look at various types of butterflies with a hand lens to see the scales, thorax, abdomen, head and other parts in greater detail.
