Fayetta June Griffin
Fayetta “Faye” June Griffin (nee Gibson), age 91, peacefully passed away on May 13, 2023.
She was born Feb. 8, 1932, to Homer and Harriet (nee Seckman) Gibson, in Clarksburg, W. Va.
Fayetta married Robert Lee Griffin on April 15, 1951, in West Virginia.
Faye loved to talk and never knew a stanger. She really enjoyed hanging out with her friends and enjoyed playing — but especially loved winning — at BINGO. She loved animals, most of all her cat Baby.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Ray (Lynn) Griffin, of Greeneville, Tenn., Randy Griffin, of Thompson Township, Jerry (Betsy) Griffin, of Chardon, Sheila King, of Mentor, Tina Griffin, of Mentor, Jay (Gail) Griffin, of Mentor, and Wendy Griffin, of Middlefield. She also will be missed by many grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lee Griffin; son Tom Griffin; daughter-in-law, Helen Griffin; and son-in-law, Ernie King.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on May 19, 2023, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. May 20, 2023, at Chardon Municipal Cemetery in Chardon.
