Judith and Victor Morinaka

A Graveside Celebration of Life for Judith and Victor Morinaka will be held in the near future at Chester Township Cemetery.

The memorial will be for family and friends.

Judith Morinaka, born May 3, 1939, passed away on Oct. 31, 2018, and her loving husband, born Nov. 7, 1939, passed away on Jan. 3, 2022. Their wishes were to be cremated and buried together in Chesterland, near Judith’s parents.

They both enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.

Judith loved her family, playing cards, gardening, reading, sailing and traveling.

She worked for the Montgomery County Public Library in Pennsylvania as a Bookmobile librarian and driver.

Victor Morinaka enjoyed trains, including model trains, boats and sailing.

He worked for Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, Pa., as an electrical engineer.

They both loved spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and both brothers.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth and Daniel (Patsy) Cottrell, of Chardon, and Cynthia Howlett, of Brook Park; sister, Helen (Jacob) Sladkey, of Burton; grandchildren, James, Stefanie and Patricia; along with three great-grandchildren.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.

He is survived by his sisters Irene and Vivian; one brother-in-law; and three step-children, three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
