CFIS Student Has Poem Published
Joshua Kumins, a former advanced cluster student in Lisa Todaro’s third-grade English language arts class at Gurney Elementary School, had his story on rhinos published in the March/April 2023 issue of “Ranger Rick’s Zoobooks.” His story was about the relationship between two rhino brothers, Harry and Ben, and how they turned their quarrels over apples into a lesson of sharing.
“I am so proud of Josh and his creative story being published in ZooBooks,” said Todaro. “I knew that Josh was a dedicated writer, and I was delighted to see that he was recognized for his creative talents. He took a risk and challenged himself by writing and submitting his entry, and his hard work was evident. He set a great example for others to follow in trying new things.”
