Margaret I. Woodring
Margaret “Peggie” I. Woodring (nee Filer), age 82, of Hambden Township, died Nov. 30, 2023, at David Simpson Hospice House, Cleveland.
She was born May 11, 1941, to Merle and Mildred (nee Brown) Filer, in Greenville, Pa., coming to the area in 1966.
Peggie enjoyed crafting, bowling and painting, and was an avid baker.
The joy of her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, David, of Hambden; children, Mark (Lisa) Woodring, of Halifax, Pa., Douglas (Dee Oakes) Woodring, of Hartfield, Va., Teressa (Tim) Croy, of Strongsville, Mathew (Elaine) Woodring, of Sparks, Nev.; grandchildren, Jessica (Phil) Pinkston, of Memphis, Tenn., Bethany (Bryan) Henry, of Elizabethtown, Pa., Brittany Woodring, of Halifax, Pa., Monica Muller, of San Diego, Calif., Dominic, Emily and Tyler Croy, of Strongsville, and JohnWayne, Georgia and Korra Oakes, of Hartfield, Va.; great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Sierra and Sienna Pinkston, of Memphis, Tenn., Gracie, Paige and JoshalynHope Woodring, of Halifax, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; Fred; sister, Mary Jane; and grandson Joshua.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Hambden Township Cemetery.
