ASSAULT
Jan. 2
11:51 a.m., Merritt Road, Geauga County Jail, Munson. Deputy responded to the jail for an assault that happened between two inmates, who were involved in a verbal incident over a TV remote. The incident ended in a physical altercation after one threw a cup of hot coffee in the other’s direction. Report will be sent to prosecutor to review.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Dec. 30
9:40 p.m., Stocking Road, Thompson. Caller got a call from her mother who stated the stepfather tried to shoot her after a fight. They were both drinking and then began arguing because they are getting a divorce. There is a safe full of guns in the house. Two Madison officers will be man staging at the end of Stocking. He shot the gun from the bedroom, bullet will either be in the ceiling or bedroom. Mother is now in Mentor Headlands and does not want to come back to meet with the deputy. States there was an argument about her divorcing him and then he shot gun at her so she grabbed phone and left.
FOUND PROPERTY
Jan. 1
9:21 p.m., E. High Street, Middlefield Tavern, Middlefield. While on traffic stop, driver advised her purse was stolen from Middlefield Tavern. Complainant stated her purse was stolen at Middlefield Tavern. Officers arrived at MT and management stated the purse was located in the bathroom. The purse was delivered to the complainant who stated she believed everything was accounted for.
FRAUD
Jan. 4
3:39 p.m., Sherman Road, Munson. Fraud of bitcoin. Stated his bitcoin wallet was compromised for roughly $182,500 dollars. Made a complaint with the FBI and will be contacting IC3 for investigations which will be attached to the report.
HARASSMENT
Dec. 30
2:48 p.m., Claridon Troy Road, Burton. Female in lobby thinks she is being stalked. She is constantly posting pornographic things on facebook and caller is concerned she may be posting picture of her from the vantage point of the woods behind her house. Most recently she has been posting pictures of herself holding firearms captioned, “Don’t go into the woods.” Complainant will delete her account and open a fresh one.
ROAD RAGE
Dec. 29
9:42 a.m., Main Market and Nelson Ledge Roads, Parkman. Westbound caller states someone tried to run her off the road and brake checked her. White Acura. Caller advised he pulled up beside her and yelled at her, calling her names. Vehicle continued westbound on Route 422 passed Route 528. Two cars behind the caller. Vehicle is turning around on Route 422 eastbound on Parkman.
Jan. 1
12:14 p.m., Tilden Road, Troy. Male followed him home in a Silver VW Jetta waving a gun at him for
cutting him off. White male with glasses and beard, mid 30s. Checked the area of where the vehicle was last seen and did not locate it. No other calls about the vehicle. No RP was given.
SUSPICIOUS
Dec. 29
11:09 a.m., Cloverdale Drive, Middlefield. Caller states someone tied a string on her curtains inside her home. Someone broke her gun, and trim looks like its been popped off.
11:51 p.m., Cloverdale Drive, Middlefield. Caller believes someone is inside right now. Heard the door open and possibly someone upstairs. Hearing it upstairs. Caller is downstairs. Heard talking. Talking stopped when caller called PD. Not sure how they got in. Advised not to go by windows or doors and
to lock doors. Deputies checked the interior of the residence and found no evidence of someone
inside. Speaking with she advised she thinks they went out the front her front windows. I checked the windows and found they were locked. She told me that she was not crazy and heard people talking. I asked her if she wanted to speak with someone at the hospital. She told me no. I found no other reason to make her go get evaluated.
Dec. 30
10:59 a.m., Auburn Lakes Drive, Auburn. Caller out of town, saw someone delivering a package through Ring camera and couple hours later saw someone else pick it up. Caller had a packaged delivered to his house and did not order anything. Caller believes that the male who picked up the package was the rightful owner and just went to his house and picked it up.
Jan. 1
4:28 p.m., Cloverdale Drive, Middlefield. There is someone back in the woods behind the house, caller states he is scrambling his phone. States they pointed guns at him last week. Have been harassing him. States it is Joey, unknown last name. Caller is home with his two kids and brother-in-law. Wants them to check the woods and figure out who it is, does not need to speak with deputy. Reported people have been hiding in his woods and jumping onto his roof. Deputy spoke with neighbor who advised he has not seen anything suspicious throughout the night. Extra patrol requested.
THEFT
Dec. 31
9:22 a.m., Madison Road, Middlefield. Buckeye Structure Owner advising he did not lock the doors last night and thousands of dollars of equipment was stolen overnight. No video footage. Vehicle stolen as well. Will be entered NCIC. Report taken.
Jan. 2
10:48 a.m., Newcomb Road, Southside Salvage, Middlefield. Female in the store from previous theft. Workers observed putting items in her purse. Located in store and she removed the air fresheners from her purse, was trespassed from the property.
THREATENING
Dec. 29
2:31 a.m., Tavern Road, Parkman. One of the kids does want to speak with the officer, unknown what his name is. Caller is going to ask. Caller is advising that male doesn’t even live there, unknown why he is there. Going to get so dispatch can speak with him direct. He stole my vehicle. He doesn’t have any
weapons. He was threatening to kill me. He choked me out. Do not need rescue. He is going to run. Caller advised that he always drives his car.
