Carol Diane Jamieson

Carol graduated in 1993 from Riverside High School, Painesville Township.
With the love and encouragement of her family, she overcame the limitations of her Prader Willi Syndrome. She thrived with the help of her dance classes at Studio Theatre, beginning at age 3, with the talented dancer and instructor Betty Gray.
Carol participated in the Special Olympics and loved horseback riding.
One of her happy places was Camp Sue Osborn. She looked forward to it every summer.
Carol was also a member of the Sisukas, a Finnish Folk Dancing Group from Fairport. She and her Mom, Margit, danced locally at festivals and parades, and even went to Toronto for an International Dance Fest.
Time with family and friends was treasured, parties and swimming at her sister Ann Marie’s, traveling to Northern Minnesota every summer to pick blueberries and take long walks with her Mom, Dad and Brenna, and playing with her nieces as they grew up.
She loved Disney princesses, especially Elsa from Frozen. Elsa became her alter ego and she often wore her Elsa gown and crown.
She loved Jesus; she lived and shared her faith with many.
Carol also adored her dogs, Buddy and Webster.
Carol is survived by her parents, Jim and Margit Jamieson; sisters, Ann Marie (Tim) Whipkey and Katrina (Brian) King; nieces, Ayla (Jake) Soderberg and Brenna; great-niece, Lark; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
