ROX Club Inspires Students

Seven fifth-grade students have been participating in Chardon Middle School’s news club, Ruling Our eXperiences. ROX is a nonprofit program based in Columbus that seeks to equip girls with the skills they need to navigate today’s challenges.

The amazing team contains a group of girls who present leadership skills, a tenacity for the values of girlhood and involvement at CMS. They were thrilled to receive fun swag. They are loving ROX so far and are happy to be part of an amazing group.

Rotary 4-Way Test Speech Contest

Academic Decathlon student Connor Mosher and Public Speaking and Debate student Will Brooker competed against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin in the annual Chardon Rotary 4-Way Test Speech Contest on April 7 at The Lodge.

Connor, a senior interested in pursuing a career in politics, earned second place with a speech advocating political discourse. Will, a junior pursuing public speaking opportunities, earned third place, promoting the merits of self-confidence.

The district is proud of how well they represented Chardon Schools. The school community is looking forward to Connor’s success in the ACADEC National competition this month and Will’s performance in the Rotary contest again next year.
