She was born in Colebrook, Ohio, on March 30, 1932, to the late Abijah C. and Myrtle Belle (nee Ketchum) Finlaw.

Flo then married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Simon, in 1958 at St. Patrick’s Church in Thompson Township. She and Bob enjoyed traveling to many interesting places throughout the United States. They loved dancing with each other, especially to polka and waltz music. They also liked country music and attended many concerts over the years.

She liked going on bus trips, shopping, going out to eat, playing scrabble, crossword and jumble word puzzles, and reading. Flo also enjoyed entertaining friends and family at special gatherings at her home.
