Time Capsule Opening
Munson Elementary School will soon be opening its 30-year-old time capsule, and community members are invited to attend.
The capsule, which was sealed in 1995, will be opened at an assembly at Munson Elementary School on May 20 at 2:30 p.m.
Any students, teachers, staff members, administrators or board members who remember the sealing of the time capsule 30 years ago are more than welcome to join for the grand opening.
Opportunities for additional viewing will be available for those who cannot attend but still wish to see the contents of the time capsule.
Superior Ratings at Science Fair
Chardon Middle School students Eden Hegfield and Ryan Wolfe received superior ratings, the highest score a student can earn, at the recent State Science Fair.
Eden and Ryan are the first CMS Hilltopper scientists to receive superior ratings at the state level.
With this achievement, the students have been invited to Ohio State University on May 10 to receive their awards and potentially receive additional scholarships or monetary rewards.
