William Joseph Adams

He was born April 15, 1931, to Esther L. (nee Hammond) Adams and Rudolph Adams.
Bill married his Chardon High School sweetheart, Beverly Jean Murray, on June 27, 1950. He joined the service and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 as a jet mechanic. In January 1955, his twin daughters were born while he was stationed in Japan. He didn’t get to see them until they were 10 months old.
Upon returning from the service, he pursued a career with Western & Southern Life Insurance Co., where he spent his entire career until retirement.
Bill came out of retirement to work various carpentry jobs and finish off his work career for Chardon Local Schools.
His hobbies included fishing, camping and woodworking, which included making clocks for each of his granddaughters. Bill also was a former member of the Masonic Lodge #93 F&AM in Chardon.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Bonnie (Mark) Neely, of Oklahoma, and Connie (Keith) Eldridge, of Ohio and Florida; granddaughters, Mindy (Frank) Aufderheide, Valerie Eldridge (Aaron Kodish), Jessica (Joseph) Habbyshaw and Sara Neely; a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson.
He also leaves behind his former wife and forever friend, Beverly “Bev” Adams; cousins, nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Rudy; and sister, Pat.
Per Bill’s request, there will be no service.
The family wishes to thank Bill’s cousin, Heidi Madsen, for all of her visits and final prayers, his friend (and fishing buddy) Roger Hall, Dr. Mathew Pawlicki and his staff, the Residence of Chardon staff for the wonderful care and assistance in his home for the past five years, the nursing staff at Ohman Family Living at Blossom and Sanctuary Hospice.
Dad, you will be missed ALWAYS …living on in our hearts FOREVER …until we meet again…we LOVE you!
