An Alzheimer’s caregiver support group will meet at Bainbridge Senior Center, 17751 Chillicothe Road. The group offers a safe, confidential and supportive environment for participants to build connections, learn about dementia and develop problem-solving skills. Registration is not required.
Simple Cooking with Heart
March 18, 3-4:30 p.m.
University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center will host a healthy, hands-on cooking demonstration in the conference center, lower level, 13207 Ravenna Road, Claridon Township. Registered dietitian Stephanie Jarrett and executive chef Joe Matteucci will present “Mindful Meals for One,” which includes a complimentary dinner. The program is offered in conjunction with the Geauga County Department on Aging. Registration is required by calling 440-214-3180; space is limited.
Harriet Tubman Movement

The Harriet Tubman Movement, an advocacy group that supports individuals who have experienced forms of exploitation, will meet at the Middlefield Senior Center, 15820 Ridgewood Road, Middlefield. Call 440-632-0611 to register.
Indigenous Plants as Medicine
March 24, 12-2 p.m.
Dr. Michael Maguire will present “Indigenous American Plants as Medicine” at the West Geauga Senior Center, 8090 Cedar Road, Chester Township. A retired Case Western Reserve University professor, Maguire will discuss how Native Americans used plants for healing and treating ailments. A hot lunch will be available from noon to 12:30 p.m., followed by the program. Registration is required by March 16 by calling 440-279-2163.
