Mark E. Kazimer
Mark E. Kazimer, age 73, of Newton Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Louis V. Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1952, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late William J. Kazimer and Arvadia Ruth (nee Elliott) Kazimer.
Mark lived in Newton Falls all of his life and graduated from Newton Falls High School in the class of 1971. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War from 1971- 1972. He married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Johnson on Nov. 12, 1998, and they enjoyed 27 years of marriage together.
Mark worked as a cabinet maker at Kraftmaid Cabinetry in Middlefield, Ohio, for 13 years, retiring in 2014.
He was a longtime member of the St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church and he loved to do autobody work on cars, and doing outside yardwork.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother and sister-in-law, James “Jim” and Debbie Kazimer.
He is survived by two stepdaughters, Elizabeth O’Malley and Michelle Chicko, both of Newton Falls; two stepsons, Tim O’Malley, of California, and David (Diana) Alicea, of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Jane (Bruce) Simpson, of Mukilteo, Wash.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Father Zachary Coulter officiating.
Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5-7 p.m.
He will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls.
