Decathlon Team Wins 22 Medals
The Chardon Academic Decathlon team recently competed at the Ohio state competition at John Carroll University. The Hilltoppers delivered an exceptional performance, earning 22 medals across multiple academic categories.
Additionally, six students will represent Chardon in the virtual National Academic Decathlon Competition later this year. Three students were invited to compete at the national competition in California, but the team has chosen to compete virtually.
Academic Decathlon is a nationally recognized academic competition that challenges students across 10 subject areas including literature, mathematics, science, economics, art, music and social science. Students also develop valuable communication skills through prepared speeches, interviews and essays.
Participation in Academic Decathlon demonstrates intellectual curiosity, teamwork and dedication – qualities that make the program an outstanding addition to college applications and student resumes.
