Alyce Joyce Molnar
Alyce Joyce Molnar, age 83, of Munson Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at Autumn Hill in Huntsburg Township, Ohio.
Born in Euclid, Ohio, Alyce was the cherished daughter of Victor and Loretta (née Dollney) Stankiewicz.
On Jan. 18, 1964, she married the love of her life, William Molnar, beginning a beautiful journey of love and devotion that would span more than six decades.
Alyce dedicated 27 years of her life to serving the community through her work with the Eastlake Police Department, where she spent 22 years as a dispatcher and an additional five years in the records department before retiring in 2002. Her commitment, professionalism and steady presence made a lasting impact on all who worked alongside her.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Alyce was a devoted member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Newbury Township, Ohio. She was actively involved in many aspects of parish life, including the Legion of Mary, and faithfully served as a Reader, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Her faith guided her life and was evident in her kindness, humility and generosity toward others.
Above all else, Alyce’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she lovingly called “the best part of her life.” She treasured every moment spent with them, whether teaching them to drive, taking them on outings or simply being present with her warmth and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the memories she created.
Alyce is survived by her beloved husband, William Molnar; her son, William (Peggy) Molnar, of Mentor, Ohio; daughters, Barb (Philip) Ricci, of Huntsburg, and Joyce Knight, of Madison, Ohio; her cherished grandchildren, Madalyn (Nicholas) McKinley, Kira (Jimmy Marsic) Doerr, Levi Knight, Steven (Megan) Molnar and Katie Molnar; and her adored great-grandchildren, Mia, Jason, Brody, Eli and one on the way; and her sisters, Loretta Murray and Suzanne Brazee.
Alyce was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Victor Stankiewicz; grandson Dominic Ricci; son-in-law, Lewis Knight; and brother-in-law, John Murray.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4-7 p.m., at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township, Ohio.
Alyce will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steadfast faith and the deep, enduring love she gave so freely to her family and all who knew her. Her presence was a blessing and her memory will be treasured always.
