Chardon City Council has approved a new digital system to manage cemetery records, a move expected to improve public access and preserve historical data. Council voted April 9 to adopt the Geauga County Automatic Data Processing board’s cemetery management application, which is also being implemented by several nearby townships. Geauga County Geographic Information Systems Solutions Architect Sarah Perry said the county’s GIS department developed the system to map cemeteries, track gravesite information and link records, similar to the Geauga REALink platform.
