Holly Sarah Goforth

Beloved daughter of Henry Fingerhut and Winifred Jakse, Holly was born on Jan. 10, 1979, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. She was raised there and graduated from Mayfield High School. She went on to build a career as a supervisor for a credit card company, where her strong work ethic, organization and kindness left a lasting impression on those she worked with.
Holly will be remembered most for her deeply loving spirit and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone around her. She found true peace in nature and cherished the quiet serenity of her Michigan home, where she embraced the beauty of the outdoors and the calm of country living. Surrounded by stillness and simplicity, she created a life that reflected her gentle soul.
A gifted and creative woman, Holly expressed herself in many ways. She handcrafted natural soaps and lotions, often giving them freely as thoughtful gifts to family and friends. She was also an artist, channeling her creativity into meaningful and beautiful work.
Holly had a true passion for food and culinary exploration. She loved visiting different restaurants and experiencing a wide variety of cuisines, always eager to discover new flavors and inspiration.
That passion carried into her own kitchen, where her cooking was simply next level. Known for her creativity and fearless approach, she prepared dishes from around the world with remarkable skill and flair. From unforgettable appetizers to extraordinary main courses and decadent desserts, her meals were more than food—they were experiences. Those fortunate enough to gather at her table will forever miss not only her incredible cooking, but the love and joy she infused into every dish.
She also enjoyed downhill skiing and treasured the sense of freedom it brought her.
Holly shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Barney, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
She is survived by her loving parents, her father, Henry Fingerhut, of Newbury Township, Ohio, and her mother, Winifred Jakse, of Willoughby Hills, Ohio; her brother, Joshua Fingerhut, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and her uncle, Max Fingerhut.
