St. Helen Dance Ensemble: July 23, 12:45 p.m. The group will enjoy a performance by students ages 5 to teenagers. Their choreography is original and is set to a variety of musical styles. Some audience participation may be involved, so be prepared to move.

Bookem Danno Safety Day

The Geauga County Department on Aging is offering Bookem Danno July 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive. Sponsored and organized by Sheriff Dan McClelland and police chiefs from local Geauga County townships, the day is about senior safety.

Meet and talk with the people who protect seniors daily. Seniors will learn how to be proactive in protecting themselves, whether it is from scams, identity theft, banking or credit card fraudulent activity, or personal and home safety.

Cost is $5 per senior and includes a picnic and the program.
