The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriffs Office June 28 through July 4. In total, the sheriffs office handled 403 calls during this seven-day period.

Alcohol Offense

June 29

8:47 p.m., Durkee Road, Huntsburg. Large underage party just getting started. It takes place in the shop behind the residence. Amish property. This party is supposed to go on through tonight and again tomorrow night. Parents are out west.

June 30

11:40 a.m., Teal Drive, Hambden. Graduation party last night at above location and the parents served alcohol to underage teenagers. Caller is remaining anonymous but wanted it on record and for the sheriffs office to do the right thing. Caller advised that they are teachers. Deputy responded to the address on Teal and spoke with both homeowners. They were notified of the complaint. They said there was a graduation party last evening, but no such activity occurred. There is no further information available nor evidence of any criminal activity. Both were cooperative and polite with the deputy.

Citizen Dispute

July 1

3:39 p.m., Daniel Lane, Hambden. Neighbor continues to harass my family via Facebook and also in person. Family is considering a protection order and would like advice. Provided advice over phone to caller who is having ongoing dispute with neighbor. Deputy explained protection order process and caller state he would go ASAP to court to apply for order.

July 2

1:56 p.m., Stone Road, Newbury. Dispute over the property line. Neighbors pulled stakes to mow the lawn and put them up in a different spot, and now my fence is not on my property.

Disorderly

June 28

7:56 p.m., Mayfield Road, Huntsburg. Youth baseball game at Huntsburg Township Park. The 17-year-old umpire pushed a parent. Everything is calmed down now and no one is injured, but caller feels that a deputy needs to respond because this shouldnt be going on at a youth game. They were arguing over the baseball game. Spoke with both parties involved. They both wish the GCSO to perform no further action.

Extra Patrol

June 29

1:19 p.m., Ravenna Road, Munson. Client receiving threats to show up from her abuser. WomenSafe is only allowed to give me the vehicle description of a Chevy Silverado painted camo. Male is 5-6, 140 pounds and always wears a hunting hat. Responded to location and checked the area. UTL on truck and male with a hat. Cleared IR only.

July 1

1:41 p.m., Bell Street, Newbury. My best friends husband is being served with divorce papers soon. He has been making general threats to everyone that the people that cross him are going to pay. Extra patrol requested in the area.

Harassment

June 30

10:09 a.m., Cloverdale Drive, Middlefield. Harassing phone calls on cell phone from restricted number and when answered she hears recorded sex noises, male voice. Just occurred and got four phone calls. This happened about a year ago also. Advice given.

Suspicious

July 3

3:01 a.m., Hillside Drive, Newbury. Caller has a pop up on his computer saying there is child pornography on the computer and he could do 4-12 years for it. He does not know why this came up because there is no child pornography on the computer. He has the computer in the lobby with him. He is concerned there is a problem. Fake notification from federal government warning complainant he had viewed child porn. Request from warning to pay one-time fee of $300 via money card. Complainant told deputy he quickly went out and completed the request; however, his computer was still locked. Deputy explained to complainant this was a scam and he should contact the money card company and his bank about assistance in getting his money refunded. Deputy provided complainant with business card and advised him to report incidents like these first to law enforcement for assistance.

Theft

July 1

5:01 p.m., Oak Tree Trail, Newbury. Theft of three-dimensional $1,000 sign from the mailbox. Deputy advised. Report taken.

Threatening

July 29

7:38 p.m., Wildwood Drive, Hambden. Caller states his girlfriend told him she is coming over at 8 p.m. and bringing at least one guy if not more to beat him up. Female is en route from Save on Cigarettes in Chardon; she works there and will be leaving at 8 p.m., bringing a guy and possibly one other. This is all over $300 caller owes her. Spoke with girlfriend; denied any threats. She was advised not to go to residence. She complied. Nothing further.

July 4

12:22 p.m., Nantucket Drive, Munson. Subject made a threat against the complainants life; he has a list of people from the hunting group that he wants to shoot. Wife believes subject will be coming to the complainants house, unknown when. Complainant has a conceal carry permit and he has a weapon. Just wanted incident on file; advice given.
