Preschool Registration
Notre Dame Elementary Preschool is accepting registration for the 2013-14 school year. Openings are available in the pre-kindergarten 4-yr-old class, as well as the afternoon 3-year-old class.

Spring Program
Notre Dame Elementary School students in grades 5-8 graced the stage on May 16 with a student-written performance titled “Believe.” Taking their cue from the school’s theme for the year, seventh-graders Hailey Oppenlander and Antonia Mysyk penned the storyline to fit the nine-song program about believing in God, believing in yourself, and following your dreams. The tale revolved around Grandpa’s retelling his life story to his grandchildren and included flashbacks of his former self, former teacher and rock band mates from the ’60s.
The show included choreographed dancing designed by the students and unlike anything ever seen at the elementary school level. The wonderful cast was joined by the magnificent sound of 214 voices singing contemporary songs and reflecting the beliefs of this incredible student body.
Outing to Swine Creek
As part of Notre Dame Elementary School’s commitment to engaging students with the environment, seventh-grade students collected specimens on a field trip to Swine Creek on May 28. During the field trip, the students participated in “Peering In a Pond” in which they had to classify organisms based on similar characteristics. They had to put their observations skills to work as they cataloged the many specimens found in the pond.
