Pre-K Pumpkin Patch
The prekindergarten students of Notre Dame Elementary Preschool were delighted to pick their pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. The children planted the seeds in the spring before leaving for summer break. They and their parents watered and weeded all summer.
After picking their pumpkins, the children spent the day determining the weight of their pumpkins in blocks, the height of their pumpkins in “dots” and the circumference of each pumpkin with string.
Afterwards, the children were able to take their pumpkins home.
