ANIMAL PROBLEM
June 20
11:34 a.m., Kile Road, Hambden. Neighbor’s dogs came into my yard and attacked my dog. I tried to get them off my dog and one of them bit me. Do not need a squad. This has happened before and has been reported to the dog warden. My dog is injured. The dogs have an invisible fence that they broke through.
June 24
10:38 a.m., Mayfield Road, Munson. Once again we are having problems with the neighbors’ goats and llamas at hole one. The animals are doing their business on the golf course and running onto the property. They were chased off again. Deputy responded and spoke with the complainant. The deputy spoke with the lady at the residence over the phone. He advised her of the complaint and warned her this could be a criminal issue if this problem persists. She advised she understood and would advise her caretaker to resolve the problem immediately. The complainant was advised of the deputy’s contact with the animal owner. The complainant showed the deputy where the animals were escaping the property.
DISORDERLY
June 23
1:12 p.m., Kinsman Road, Middlefield. Female and male upset because complainant refused to sell her a car. They are refusing to leave and are being loud and irate. Complainant thinks they are on drugs. They are even going on the neighbor’s yard, yelling and screaming. Complainant is at the shop. Deputy advised. Parties were given a ride to the library to wait for a ride.
EXTRA PATROL
June 25
4:37 p.m., Mayfield Road, Claridon. Resident states her car alarm went off early this morning around 1:30 a.m. She did not discover any problems with her vehicle this morning when she checked. She is requesting extra patrol in the neighborhood during the overnight hours for any potential mischief going on late at night. It did not appear anyone gained entry into her car; just requesting extra patrol.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
June 22
2:42 p.m., GAR Highway, Hambden. Earlier today a Chevy minivan drove away ripping the pump hose out of the pump. He later returned to the station to report the line just fell apart while he was using it. Deputy responded. Met with complainant who stated the male in the minivan drove away from the gas pump with nozzle still inside the gas receptacle. Male later returned to the gas station to report incident; however, accor-ding to complainant, the male altered the story on how the incident happened and advised complainant it was a faulty gas hose connection. Complainant advised she could obtain info on the male through the ATM machine the male used that day.
SUSPICIOUS
June 20
12:08 a.m., Lancaster Drive, Auburn. Someone is walking in the caller’s back yard with a flash light. They can’t see them now, but not sure if they just turned the flash light off. Caller and her husband are in an upstairs bedroom. Complainant heard driveway alarm activate, then observed lights in the bedroom window. Complainant and wife got up and observed a person walking through their backyard and standing behind a tree with a flash light. Flash light went off and on a few times. Deputy was in the area and arrived, at which point the complainant saw the person walking westbound through the backyard and lost visual. Deputy deployed his canine, which began a track from the tree and into the woods. Upon arrival to the neighbor’s home, a koi pond pump activated and distracted the canine. The track could not be picked back up. Neighboring woods were checked with the canine and no evidence was located. Deputy will perform contin-uous extra patrols in the area.
June 23
3:06 a.m., Nauvoo Road, Middlefield. Caller’s son and nephew were going through the area of Nauvoo and Bundysburg via horse and buggy when four males wearing masks carrying bats swung at the males. My son has a lump on his elbow, but does not need a rescue squad. There was a small grey car in the area of the four males as well. Caller would like the area checked and then to speak with the deputy. They will be waiting at their residence. The nephew has since gone home.
June 25
6:10 p.m., Old State Road, Hambden. Male was trying to reach his female friend by phone and was unable to reach her. He is afraid something might have happened to her since she is not answering her phone. Dispatch was also unable to reach her by phone and had to leave a voice message for the female. Deputy advised. Female is fine and was playing paintball without her phone.
June 26
5:15 p.m., Chipmunk Lane, Burton. White female with blonde hair, tank top and shorts. Female showed up at the residence and started washing complainants windows. When she was asked to leave the property she gave them a hard time. No vehicle in the area and unknown where she is walking right now. Complainant does not wish to see anyone.
THEFT
June 21
2:24 p.m., GAR Highway, Montville. Caller reported a cooking grill taken from their property. Deputy informed. Complainant put home-made BBQ grill out front of this house in preparation to place a “for sale” sign on it. Complainant was inside house and unknown person removed the grill from the property. Deputy and complainant believe whoever took the grill may have been under the impression the item was “trash” as there was no sign on it indicating a price or “for sale.” Chardon City had bulk trash pickup day which may have given the impression that the item was placed near the street for anyone to pick up.
TRESPASSING
June 21
8:48 p.m., Mayfield Road, Huntsburg. Caller reported two kids on the golf course playing in the sand trap now. They have been told to stay off the course. Deputy responded. The two teenage boys were advised to stay off the golf course property. They re-raked the sand and were sent home. Their mother was advised as well. Complainant is satisfied with that.
June 26
6:36 p.m., McCall Road, Parkman. Complainant would like to speak with an officer about his neighbor fishing on his property. He has asked the male a number of times to stay off his lake and the male will not comply. Deputy responded. Property line dispute over adjacent lake properties. Male was advised to take the neighbor to civil court and send a no trespass letter to the neighbor, who is claiming ownership to part of the complainant’s property. Advice given to seek legal counsel.
