Thence North 16° 07’ 36” East, along said centerline of Walnut Ridge Road, a distance of 174.59 feet to a mag nail set at an angle point;
Thence North 10° 16’ 16” East, continuing along said centerline of Walnut Ridge Road, a distance of 130.58 feet to a point at the Northwesterly corner of land conveyed to Robert MacAdam King (PPN 11-201500) by deed recorded in Volume 1957, Page 819 of Geauga County Deed Records and the Principal Place of Beginning of the premises herein intended to be described;
COURSE I: Thence North 10° 16’ 16” East, continuing along said centerline of Walnut Ridge Road, a distance of  79.81 feet to a point at the Southwesterly corner of parcel No. 1 of lands conveyed to land conveyed to Susan J. and James D. Adie (PPN 11-001400) by deed recorded in Volume 1910, Page 101 of Geauga County Deed Records;
COURSE II: Thence South 86° 13’ 16” East, along the Southerly line of land so conveyed to Susan J. and James D. Adie, and passing through a 5/8” iron pin found (I.D. Hedrick) at 30.48 feet, a total distance of  149.15 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin set;
COURSE III: Thence South 4° 07’ 05” West, (creating a new line) a distance of  60.00  feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin found (I.D. Hedrick) at the Northwesterly corner of land so conveyed to Geauga Park District, also being the Northeasterly corner of land so conveyed to Robert MacAdam King;
COURSE IV: Thence North 86° 13’ 16” West, along said Northerly line of land so conveyed to Robert MacAdam King, and passing through a 5/8 inch iron pin set at 127.32 feet, a total distance of 157.70 feet to the Principal Place of Beginning and containing 0.2793 acres of land (0.2243 acres excepting the area within the right-of-way of Walnut Ridge Road) as surveyed, calculated and described, on April 24, 2014 by Rudy E. Schwartz, P.S. 7193 be the same more or less but subject to all legal highways and easements of record. Bearings used herein refer to an assumed meridian and are intended to indicate angles only. All 5/8 inch by 30 inch iron pins set are I.D. Schwartz 7193.

The Middlefield Police Department has confiscated stolen property from an incident that occurred in February 2014. Items include 6 navy blue Walls FR hooded sweat shirts, 2 grey NFL Steelers long sleeve shirts and 1 black NFL Steelers leather coat. This legal notice is hereby given that the Middlefield Police Department has these items of personal property in its possession which personal property has been lost, abandoned, stolen, seized pursuant to a search warrant, or otherwise lawfully seized and is subject to disposal in accordance with ORC 2981.12. Pursuant to ORC 2981.11(C) members of the public who may have an interest in the property in possession of the Middlefield Police Department may appear in person to the police department located at 14860 North State Avenue, Middlefield, Ohio 44062 from August 21 through August 30 to view and establish their right to possession of the personal property. ORDINANCE NO. 2836
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT/AGREEMENT WITH DUKE ENERGY RETAIL SALES, INC., AS SUPPLIER OF ELECTRIC ENERGY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a two year contract with Duke Energy Retail Sales, Inc. to provide electricity to the City of Chardon, at a rate not to exceed $.07 per KWH.

ORDINANCE NO. 2837
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT/AGREEMENT WITH E.H. SUTTON INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING INSURANCE CONSULTING SERVICES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a one year contract with E.H. Sutton Insurance Agency, Inc. in the amount of $3,500 for insurance consulting services commencing on October 1, 2014.

ORDINANCE NO. 2838
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH THE POLICE DISPATCHERS, OFFICERS, AND SERGEANTS THROUGH THE OHIO PATROLMEN’S BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into collective bargaining agreements with the Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, the bargaining unit for the City of Chardon police dispatchers, police officers and police sergeants, to provide public safety services.

RESOLUTION NO. 45-14
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE OFFICIAL INTENT AND REASONABLE EXPECTATIONS OF THE CITY OF CHARDON ON BEHALF OF THE STATE OF OHIO TO REIMBURSE ITS INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE MULTI-ROAD PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS (OPWC PROJECT NUMBER CG31R/CG32R) WITH THE PROCEEDS OF TAX EXEMPT DEBT OF THE STATE OF OHIO.
A resolution to accept the proceeds of bonds issued by the State of Ohio in an amount not to exceed $866,500, with the bond proceeds to be used to pay for OPWC Project No. CG31R/CG32R, pavement improvements of Fifth Avenue, Washington Street, Huntington Street and Goodrich Court.

RESOLUTION NO. 46-14
A RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GEAUGA COUNTY ENGINEER RESOURCE RENTAL PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
A resolution authorizing participation by the City of Chardon in the Geauga County Engineer Resource Rental Program accepting the Program rules and guidelines and allowing municipal RRP representatives to rent equipment at a cost of $5,000 or less without the City Manager’s approval.

Parkman Township Fire Department is seeking sealed bids for Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.
