ADVANCE NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF  DELINQUENT LAND TAX LIST
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code, Section 5721.03, notice is hereby given of the forthcoming publication on November 13 and November 20, 2014 of the delinquent land tax list of Geauga County. Said list will contain the name of the most current owner and any unpaid tax, penalty, or assessments.
Delinquent taxes may be paid at the office of the Geauga County Treasurer, 211 Main Street, Chardon, OH, 44024, Monday through Friday, (except holidays) between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on or before Friday, October 31, 2014, to avoid publication.
Taxpayers who are unable to make full payments may enter into a written agreement (installment plan) with the County Treasurer to pay unpaid taxes.
Beginning December 1, 2014 an interest charge will begin accruing on all unpaid taxes not having a written agreement with the Treasurer.

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code, Section 5721.03, notice is hereby given of the forthcoming publication on November 13 and November 20, 2014 of the delinquent vacant land tax list of Geauga County. Said list are lots and lands on which taxes have remained unpaid for two (2) years after being certified delinquent, and that are now subject to foreclosure and forfeiture proceedings as provided in Ohio Revised Code, Section 5721.14 within twenty-eight (28) days after final publication of said list.

Notice is hereby given that the Geauga County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing for the proposed vacation of a portion of Woodhill Drive (TR-731).   The area of Woodhill Drive, TR 731 proposed to be vacated is from the limits of the temporary cul-de-sac located approximately 1,422 feet south along the centerline of Woodhill Drive from the Montville-Thompson Township Line, to its terminus located at a distance of 177.42 feet south along the centerline of said Woodhill Drive from the limits of the temporary cul-de-sac. Upon payment of $70.00 pickup, NONE OF WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED.

Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond Form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.  Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Project shall start November 15, 2014, substantially complete on January 31, 2015 and totally complete on February 28, 2015.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, service, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Geauga County and the Village of Burton, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
