Daniel Eugene Miller
FREEDOM TWP. – Daniel Eugene Miller, of Freedom Township, passed away Feb. 24, 2015, at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He was 75.
Dan was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Bainbridge Township, to the late William Jennings Bryan Miller Sr. and Elizabeth J. (nee Helmuth) Miller.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1976. He was stationed in Vietnam, French Morocco, Thailand, Germany, Panama and several locations in the United States.
He was a researcher of antique tools.
Dan will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Vera (nee Evans) Sweda Miller, who he married in 1998; children, Robin Lynn (Miller) Borner Woolf, of Salem, Ohio, David Paul Miller, of Harrisonburg, Va., and Kimberly Ann (Miller) Peters Frederick, of Conway, S.C.; sisters, Susan Jane (Miller) Byler Garner, of Edgewood, Md., and Mary Louise (Miller) Small Hurley, of Auburn Township; brother Ralph Edison Miller, of Auburn; grandchildren, Mark Anthony Peters, of Conway, S.C., Theresa Elizabeth Borner Bardo, of Salem, Benjamin Michael Miller Frederick, of Conway, S.C., Matthew Michael Borner, of Salem, and Grace Elizabeth Miller, of Harrisonburg, Va.; great-grandchild, Eli Robert Bardo, of Salem; nine nieces, three nephews, 12 great-nieces and seven great-nephews; and many other relatives.
Besides his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother William Jennings Bryan Miller Jr.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. until the time of the service, 1 p.m. March 2 at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
Private burial will take place in Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman, at a later date.
