Springtime: Time to CONNECT
With springtime arriving March 20, Geauga Park District announces its spring CONNECT themes designed to help residents connect with conservation, knowledge and activity in the great outdoors.
Connect with Conservation in honor of Earth Day on April 22. Designated programs will inspire people, from Landscaping with Native Plants to the park district’s Earth Day Dump Clean-up at Observatory Park to its Earth Day, NRM-style event, complete with a milkweed and tree giveaway.
In May, the park district will help residents Connect with Knowledge by offering its annual Spring Bird Walk Series. Take in the Full Flower Moon, become part of human orrery at Observatory Park, or bring one’s horse to the Trail Horse Nature Challenge to learn about some natural trail obstacles and natural history at Swine Creek Reservation. There will also be naturalist-led horseback rides at The West Woods later in April.
Connect with Activity is the theme for June. There’s Geauga Walkers for active seniors, a Family Fun Campout, canoeing programs as well as the fifth annual Caveman Crawl 5K Trail Run.
Details on Connect-themed programs can be found by selecting Find a Program/Event on the park district’s website and then filtering by interest type “Connect.”
