Bras for a Cause

The fourth annual University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center Bras For a Cause tea luncheon will take place in the Sisters of Notre Dame Education Center Auditorium, 13000 Auburn Road in Chardon. The cancer awareness and fund-raising event is presented by the UH Geauga Medical Center Auxiliary. The auxiliary will present its Bras For a Cause “Decorate a Bra Contest” to raise money for the hospital’s cancer programs.
Bra contest entries must be submitted to the Auxiliary by June 5. Bras will be displayed and voted on in the UH Geauga Medical Center main lobby June 8-19. Voting tickets can be purchased in the Wish U Well Gift Shop and at the luncheon until 1:45 p.m. for $1 each or six for $5. The four top vote-getting entries will be announced at the luncheon.
Each entry must be size 34C and fit into a display case that measures 13 inches long by 6.5 inches wide by 4.75 inches deep.
The luncheon will feature a catered lunch, door prizes, Bras For a Cause entries, run/walk contestants and a special celebration for cancer survivors. Advance-purchase tickets are $10, or $12 at the door. Space is limited. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon.

The first 200 registrants to the 5K run/walk will receive a free T-shirt, and male and female participants in 12 age categories will be recognized for top finishes. Post-race refreshments will be served.
Pre-registration fee for adults is $20, or $25 on race day, and $15, or $20 on race day, for students 18 and under.
