Frozen Fest
Feb. 7, 12-4 p.m.
Join Geauga Park District for an exciting afternoon of free winter fun at the West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
Outside the nature center, enjoy the Bird in the Hand feeding station; free snowshoe rental; snowball shooting gallery; “A Kid at Art” mobile classroom; meet and greet with sled dogs; ice sculptures; snow snakes; hiking; outdoor camping; fire-building and cooking demo by Boy Scout Troop 102 of Bainbridge; snowflake cards; exploring a wigwam; and snowman building.
Family activities inside the nature center include otter slide and tunnels; Home Sweet Habitat: A Place for Wildlife to Survive and Thrive special exhibit; green screen booth; character meet and greets; refreshments; ice painting; Wildlife in Winter touch table; live old-time stringband music by Oak It’sland Skunk Jumpers; puppet shows offered every hour beginning at 12:30 p.m.; face painting by Amanda’s Elaborate Eyes; Shutterbugs Camera Club photo exhibit; snowflake craft and classroom activities; and Treetops Nature Store.
Shuttles will be present from 12-4:30 p.m. to transport people between The West Woods and overflow lots at ASM International and, as needed, Teague Plaza.
No registration is required to attend.
