Jakub Hess
Jakub “Jake” Hess, age 16, died unexpectedly June 14, 2016.
Born May 19, 2000, in Cleveland, he was a lifelong area resident.
Jake was to be a sophomore at Berkshire High School in Burton.
He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed reading and drawing.
His dream was to have been a Navy Seal.
Survivors include his father, John D. Hess, of Kingsville; mother, Elizabeth Hutchinson, of Conneaut; aunt, Debi (John) Jirousek, of Hiram; siblings, Jackie Hadlock, of Hiram, Riley and Taylor Daugherty, and Zachary Hutchinson; grandparents, Jack and Ann Hess, of North Port, Fla., and Tracey Metzner; of Ashtabula; surrogate grandparents, Dan and Betty Darling, of Rock Creek; and great-grandparents, Suzy “Moe” Mulhollen, of North Port, Fla., and Viola Hess, of Huntsburg Township.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, June 20 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Private family burial will be held.
