Pancake and Waffle Breakfast

St. Anselm Church, 12969 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township, is hosting a pancake and waffle breakfast in Kelly Hall in the rear of the school. Breakfast includes pancakes, waffles, sausage, hash browns, coffee and juice.
Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 3-10 and $30 for families. All are welcome.
St. Anselm Church, working with the St. Kizito Foundation, provides textbooks and aid to children in Uganda.
DTJ Chicken and Duck Dinner

DTJ Taborville is hosting a chicken and duck dinner of the year at 9850 North Blvd. in Auburn Township. Cost is $12.50 for an adult dinner and $6.50 for a children’s chicken dinner. A half duck dinner is $17.50.

Blue Knights Ride For Diabetes

The Blue Knights Chapter XV is sponsoring the 27th anniversary Mark Laccheo Memorial Ride for Camp Ho Mita Koda. All proceeds go toward providing camperships for children with diabetes.
The day starts with registration from 10-11:45 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts at the Lake County FOP Hall, 8355 Auburn Road, Concord. Ride departs at noon and returns an hour later for lunch, 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and raffles. Grand prize tickets are $10 each or three for $25. Special guest is Monica Robins of WKYC.
Donation is $15 for drivers and $10 for passengers.

The deadline to order trees from Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual fall tree sale is Aug. 29. Both coniferous and deciduous trees seedlings, each contained in a 3x3x5-inch pot, are for sale. Rain barrels and compost tumblers are also available.
