The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Aug. 26 through Sept. 1. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 479 calls during this seven-day period.

AGENCY ASSIST

Aug. 30

3:52 p.m., Water Street, Chardon Municipal Court. Per officer a fake bladder and penis were found on the subject with either real or fake urine inside the bladder. One male arrested. GCSO has been notified and will be sending a deputy to pick up subject

ASSAULT

Aug. 29

10:39 p.m., Lake Road, Burton. Male stopped at a park on Aquilla Road to check his oil and a vehicle pulled up and a male got out and hit him on the side of his head with his fist and stole his cell phone. Occurred an hour ago. Suspect was a white male in his 20s, shirtless with short hair, believes he had a Dodge Neon. Caller cannot remember if suspect said anything to him. Does not need an ambulance.

Aug. 31

8:32 p.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. 18-year-old female reporting she was assaulted by boyfriend. She stated he had choked her, causing her to fall and hit her head, and for approximately 30 minutes he continued hitting her in face every time she would cry. She is currently at South Point Hospital in Warrensville Heights being treated. Deputy advised. Per hospital, female is to be released in 20-30 minutes and will respond to GCSO when they leave. Report taken. Male transported to jail.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

Aug. 26

8:05 p.m., Mayfield Road, Claridon. Male pushed the caller. Caller advised he is an MMA fighter. He does not have any weapons on him. He does not use drugs and is not intoxicated. He attempted to leave house with 1-year-old child, who currently is with mother. Male lives in Warrensville Heights. Caller advised he has been really abusive toward the caller last 18 months. Report taken.

DRUGS

Aug. 28

4:37 p.m., Ravenna Road, Claridon. Couple in room clearly high. Staff believes they have used heroin while at the hospital. Male initially was at the hospital for weakness. Male patient brought in by girlfriend for possible overdose. While in hospital male was given narcan by ER doctor. Male and girlfriend went into bathroom together and when they came out ER staff observed their actions and felt they were using drugs, but had no proof. Deputy spoke with male and female, and they denied taking any drugs. Deputy checked bathroom and did not locate any drug paraphernalia.

EXTRA PATROL

Aug. 26

12:19 p.m., Mayfield Road, Munson. I have already spoken to Munson trustees and let the officer know but I am also requesting extra patrol from GCSO. Last week there was damage to the lights at the park and this week there is damage to posts, rails and benches at Scenic River.

FRAUD

Aug. 26

10:16 a.m., Merritt Road, Munson. Complainant on station for fraud case. Wanted it documented he was contacted by Life Lock about possible use of his name to open credit card account. Also contacted by Macy’s and advised someone used a credit card in his name in Florida. Macy’s fraud department is investigating.

JUVENILE PROBLEM

Aug. 27

8:13 p.m., Mayfield Road, Claridon. In car with my 17-year-old daughter. She is out of control, meeting guys online. I want to talk to a deputy. Juvenile transported to ER per mother’s request.

OVERDOSE

Aug. 26

9:59 p.m., Bradford Drive, Munson. 19-year-old male possible overdose on heroin. Unconscious but breathing. Last seen awake about a half hour ago. He overdosed a week ago on heroin. Report taken/grand jury.

SUSPICIOUS

Aug. 29

5:36 p.m., Leader Lane, Hambden. Friday night two men were pounding on window and door, and then they sat outside and drank beer. Caller knows one of men and the other she does not know his name.

Aug. 31

8:48 p.m., Upper Chelsea Drive, Munson. Caller’s home is up for sale and she states someone put an ad on craigslist listing it for rent. She had multiple people walking around her house looking in the windows. She confronted a group of people looking at her home and they stated they were in contact with the man who posted the ad on craigslist. Spoke with complainant on the phone, advice given. Also checked the residence, all dark, no cars in the area.

THEFT

Aug. 26

7:31 a.m., Rapids Road, Troy. Caller reports a large air compressor, backpack leaf blower taken out of garage sometime last night. Main door was unlocked to the unattached garage. Report taken.

Aug. 29

4:11 p.m., Copperleaf Drive, Hambden. Identity theft. Used wife’s ID and took $3,300 out of savings. Report taken.
