GANG Celebrates Christmas

The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) will be celebrating its 15th annual free Christmas concert at Heinen’s Cafe, 402 Center St. in Chardon. Geauga County-based musician Nicky Bucur will lead area musicians in a pre-Christmas Jam Session with songs of the season.
Bucur is a freelance musician and hospice volunteer who has been bringing joyful music to area families and organizations for over two decades. Musicians of all ages are welcome to bring their instruments and join in the fun.
The free event is open to the general public; no reservations are necessary.

Lake and Geauga Art Show
Jan. 24 – Feb. 21
The Lakeland Art Show features approximately 375 pieces of artwork created by middle and high school students from Lake and Geauga county school districts. Geauga County school districts participating include Kenston, Berkshire, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and West Geauga.
Show will be on display at Lakeland Community College in its main gallery. The free show is open to all. The award ceremony and closing of the show will take place at noon Feb. 21.
The show is juried by members of local art institutions, former art teachers and local artists. Judged art categories for student entries include:
Black and white drawings, colored drawing, digital art / photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking and crafts.
There will be cash prizes and awards given in different categories.
