The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) welcomes artistic blacksmith and metal sculptor Marc Yanko to its meeting at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon. The educational event is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.
A longtime Geauga resident, Yanko has been creating art from metal for over 30 years and has been an active blacksmith for over 40 years. His work ranges from the highly functional and utilitarian to purely abstract artistic forms.

First Annual Giving Day Concert
July 18, 7-9 p.m.
The Snowbelt Musical Arts Association (SMAA) is sponsoring an outdoor concert on Chardon Square. The event, which is free and open to all, will feature two of SMAA’s three ensembles, plus mini-performances by individual SMAA musicians who will be jamming in the park pre-concert beginning at 6:15 p.m. In addition to the\ restaurants along the square that will be open to concertgoers, attendees are invited to bring a picnic or purchase refreshments from food trucks offering hot dogs, bratwurst and ice cream.
The SMAA, under the direction of Greg Hillis, is dedicated to expanding opportunities for people of all ages to perform and enjoy musical activities.
